National Waste & Recycling Association Hall of Fame Nomination Form

The National Waste & Recycling Association (NWRA) Hall of Fame recognizes the association’s top leaders in the waste and recycling industry. These individuals have been actively and consistently engaged in the business for at least 25 years.

They have made significant contributions to the industry through:

• Being instrumental in building, owning, and/or operating a company(s) directly involved in the waste and recycling industry;
• Developing innovations in manufacturing or equipment/product design;
• Designing and implementing novel methods of marketing or conducting business;
• Building better employer-employee and community relations;
• Ensuring safer operations;
• Developing industry standards;
• Protecting the environment;
• Engaging in the legislative and regulatory processes;
• Contributing to civic and philanthropic activities; and/or
• Participating in the National Waste & Recycling Association and/or its predecessor organizations.

Instructions for the Nominator

To officially submit a nomination for the NWRA Hall of Fame – Class of 2027, this form must be completed in full. Incomplete submissions will not be considered.

New this year: Only five (5) letters of recommendation will be reviewed for each nomination.

Please carefully review and follow these requirements: 

1. Complete this form in its entirety.
   1. Provide detailed and clear information about the nominee. Do not assume the NWRA Hall of Fame Committee is familiar with the nominee’s contributions. Include when the nominee worked for a member company of the National Waste and Recycling Association and validate that the candidate has at least 25 years of service in the industry.
2. Nominee Information.
   1. Include all requested contact and employment history details.
   2. Upload at least one high-resolution headshot photo of the nominee (no group shots).
3. Qualifying Criteria responses are required.
   • You must provide information in each of the five Qualifying Criteria sections.
   • You may either:
     • Upload a Word or PDF document with your written responses, or
     • Enter your responses directly into the text fields provided in this form.
4. Letters of Recommendation.
   • Only five (5) letters of recommendation may be uploaded within this form on behalf of the nominee. 
   • No individual can provide more than one recommendation letter each year.
   • Hall of Fame Committee members cannot provide recommendation letters.
   • Letters from current NWRA Hall of Fame members will receive additional weight.

Each recommender’s information must be provided below:

• Recommender's Name

• Recommender's Job Title and Company Name

• Indicate if the recommender is a current NWRA Hall of Fame member.

• Upload their signed recommendation letter (PDF or Word).

Each individual may submit only one letter of recommendation per application year.

Note on Letters of Recommendation:
It is the nominator’s responsibility to inform each recommender of this policy and confirm that they have not already submitted a letter for another applicant. Additionally, Hall of Fame Committee members cannot provide recommendation letters.
